Brix is an NYC building intelligence platform built on city records. Anyone can look up any building’s violations, complaints, court cases and ownership for free. Owners and managers subscribe to monitor their whole portfolio: a weekly briefing of what opened, what was fixed and certified, which filings are due or overdue, where the open-violation backlog sits, and which problems keep coming back. Paying never changes a building’s record or its score. Brix is not property management software.

Our Story
A cockroach in the crib, then the ceiling came down.
Four kids under four, a lovely apartment on a great block, and a lease signed after one walk-through. Then the leaks in the nursery, the heat that didn't work, and the family room ceiling on the floor. The neighbors had lived the same thing years earlier, with the same landlord.
All of it was already in the city record. Nobody hid it — it just wasn't anywhere a person with a job and four kids was going to find it in an afternoon.
