A modern two-family house where block-level noise and air quality complaints dominate the surrounding area.
Built in 2000, this two-family house sits on an East New York block where the building's own operational file carries few filings, but the surrounding blocks show heavy street and indoor friction. Three things to know:
Indoor noise bleeds heavily across the surrounding three blocks. 816 residential noise calls were logged within three blocks over the last year, led by 592 banging or pounding reports and 221 loud music complaints. The volume is nearly double the citywide median, showing significant indoor sound transfer across adjacent properties on the surrounding blocks.
Surrounding blocks show repeated indoor air quality reports. 5 indoor air quality complaints and 5 general air quality calls were recorded within three blocks in the last 12 months. Fume and air quality complaints typically reflect street-level exhaust or shared venting issues that travel into neighboring windows and ductwork.
Surrounding curbs see long-term vehicle storage. 109 abandoned vehicle reports were recorded within three blocks over the last 12 months, all specifically noting vehicles left with license plates attached. Surrounding curbs serve as long-term storage spots for unattended cars, keeping street parking tight.
