A 7-unit Brooklyn Heights walk-up with an inactive building record, sitting under waterfront flight paths and close to neighborhood dining strips.
151 Columbia Heights is a 7-unit mid-19th-century Brooklyn Heights walk-up tied to the same family entity since the early 1990s. The building maintains a thin operational record, while block-level activity centers on East River flight paths and nearby commercial venting. Three things to know:
Overhead flight paths along the waterfront create regular aircraft sound. 199 helicopter noise complaints were logged within three blocks over the last year, largely tied to NYPD and general aviation routes along the waterfront. Altitude and window orientation dictate how much sound reaches the upper floors.
Nearby dining options bring concentrated food establishment calls to the immediate area. The three blocks surrounding the address logged 42 food establishment complaints and 2 indoor air quality calls in the past 12 months. Kitchen exhaust and food preparation odors frequently travel through shared risers or open courtyards near ground-floor dining.
Curb space on surrounding blocks sees heavy regulation and short-term blocking. 182 illegal parking complaints were registered within three blocks in the last year, mostly for sign violations and blocked sidewalks. The pattern points to tight curb space and frequent delivery stops along the promenade edge.
