1161 Longfellow Avenue, Bronx

An eight-violation open record and a winter heat flare mark this 2004 multi-family structure.

A 2004-built three-family house in Longwood. Rather than a typical single-family setup, this operates as a small multi-family structure where administrative slip-ups and winter heating calls define the record. Three things to know:

Administrative violations have stacked up over successive years. The building carries eight open violations, split evenly between unfiled annual building registrations and missing annual bedbug filings. While neither indicates immediate physical danger, the repeated administrative lapses point to hands-off management.

Heating dropped out across the entire building during midwinter. Seven heat and hot water complaints were logged over a single week spanning late December 2025 and early January 2026, with reports flagging building-wide loss. For a three-unit property, multiple calls in a short window mean every unit felt the cold.

Quieter signals on this building and the blocks around it:

• 200 illegal parking complaints within three blocks over the last year, largely double-parking and blocked sidewalks.
• 154 street noise complaints in the surrounding three blocks, dominated by loud music and outdoor parties.
